FACT Consulting Engineers PLC is pleased to announce the signing of a consultancy contract with the Central Ethiopia Regional State Irrigation Development and Scheme Administration Agency for the implementation of comprehensive irrigation development studies in the Central Ethiopia Region.
The assignment is financed through the Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP) and aims to contribute to sustainable agricultural development, enhanced food security, and improved climate resilience through the expansion of irrigation infrastructure.
Project Scope
The consultancy services encompass a series of critical activities required for the development of viable irrigation schemes within the region. The key components of the assignment include:
- Assessment and investigation of potential irrigation development sites.
- Identification and evaluation of water and land resources suitable for irrigation development.
- Screening and prioritization of potential irrigation projects.
- Conducting comprehensive feasibility studies.
- Preparation of detailed engineering designs for dam and irrigation infrastructure development.
- Development of tender documents and implementation recommendations for future construction works.
